The 4-5 year classes will be introduced to letter "Mm" this week! The teachers will show the children how to write letter "Mm", demonstrate the phonetic sound of letter "Mm", and even show a few examples of objects that begin with letter "Mm". Ask your child to find a picture of something that begins with letter "Mm". Perhaps he/she would like to cut the picture out and use a glue stick to attach it to a piece of construction paper. Writing letter "Mm" is another way to remember how it looks. If your child is able, ask him/her to practice writing letter "Mm" on the page too! This will become a fun activity you can do with your child each week as the different letters are discussed. By adding a page with a different letter each week, you will create an Alphabet book by the end of the school year. An Alphabet Book is a great keepsake for home and a wonderful memory of your child's preschool experience.
